‘Queen’ hits a hat-trick at Stardust Awards 2014

MUMBAI: Vikas Bahl’s extremely popular film ‘Queen’ is riding high on its success. Ending the year on a high note, ‘Queen’ now has three awards to its name at the prominent Stardust Awards 2014 on Sunday 14th December 2014. The film is about an innocent middle class girl Rani from Delhi who goes for her honeymoon all by herself after her to-be husband refuses to marry her. The story touched hearts all over for Kangana Ranaut’s simplicity, great music and breathe-taking locales of Europe.

The list of awards is as follows:

.Best Film- Searchlight Awards- Stardust 2014- Queen

.Best Actress- Searchlight Awards- Stardust 2014- Kangana Ranaut

·Best Director- Searchlight Awards- Stardust 2014- Vikas Bahl

The evening was a star studded event that saw the presence of the biggest names from the industry. ‘Queen’ has become the best example of quality cinema ever since its release earlier this year. The film made Kangana Ranaut a household name not only receiving acceptance from masses but also immense critical acclaim. Fans have also asked for a sequel of this much loved film. This Vikas Bahl master piece has received the maximum awards after Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year.
Queen’ is a small budget film that fulfilled all expectations and made great strides in Indian cinema. With all this adulation, the film is set to rule the awards season in a big way next year.
