PPP CONSTITUTES COMMITTEE TO FACILITATE IDPs –DR. SIKANDAR MANDHRO

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Environment and Coastal Development Dr. Sikandar Mandhro has said that Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has constituted a committee at Pakistan level to facilitate IDPs of South Waziristan and he (Dr. Sikandar Mandhro) has been selected a member from Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh Chapter. This he said while talking to media men here in Assembly Building. Dr. Sikandar Mandhro said that the constituted committee would work day and night to provide facilities and necessary services to IDPs because PPP had strong roots all over the country and the party would coordinate and cooperate with these brethrens/ sisters and every possible service would be given to them so that they might feel comfortable.

Provincial Minister added ‘Pakistan Peoples Party is the most popular party of Pakistan and its leadership has always made efforts to reduce the grievances and troubles of the people of Pakistan and committed to continue its efforts in right direction.’ He said that we would come up to the expectations of IDPs and never leave them in their difficult time.

 

TO ENSURE SALE OF FLOUR AT RS. 36 PER KG – JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR

KARACHI:  Provincial Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the flour will be sold at Rs.36 per Kg during Ramzan –ul-Mubarak in order to provide relief to the people of Sindh, while all flour mills will establish fair price shops at their main gates where the flour will be sold at Rs. 36 per Kg, besides this flour mills will also provide flour at same rates at the stalls established by district administration. This he said while talking to media men here in his office on Thursday. He told that the rate of flour at Rs.36 per Kg during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak was decided in the meeting between Sindh Food Department and office bearers of Flour Mills Association held the previous day.

Jam Mehtab said ‘For current financial year a subsidy of Rs. 3 billion has been given on wheat and the growers and common consumers will get benefit of it.’ He added that all commissioners including Karachi’s had been issued directives to ensure the sale of flour at Rs.36 per Kg in bachat bazaars and Sunday bazaars. Provincial Minister for Food said that all deputy commissioners had been directed to provide a list of the bachat bazaars being organized in their districts and assist/ coordinate with the food officers so that decisions of the meeting could be implemented in the best interest of the general public. While replying to a question he said that the target of wheat 12 lac 20 thousand tones was achieved and he would visit the godowns for physical verification of whet stocks, gunny bags and other articles of Food Department.

 

KEEP VIGILANT EYE ON PRICES IN RAMAZAN-UL-MUBARAK – ALI NAWAZ MEHAR

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Bureau of Supplies and Prices Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mehar has directed the officers to keep on a vigilant eye on the prices and take strict action against profiteers on the spot in order to create fear of the law among them. This he said while presiding over a meeting of officers of agriculture department here in his office on Thursday. He directed that the traders should be bound to hang price lists on elevated position and whole seller to be motivated to display banners and boards.

He said, ‘Price lists to be provided to the consumers easily. Inspection teams of Bureau of Supplies and Prices should keep close contact with teams of district administration to check prices. On this occasion the Minister for Agriculture was informed that 2548 challans were made against profiteers.

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Sardar Ali Nawaz Khan Mehar while expressing his dissatisfaction over the performance of the officers, said that all potentials should be utilized for the progress of agriculture and to submit the progress on fortnight basis that what have been made in the fields of seeds, fertilizer, pesticides, agriculture implants, water reservoirs, ponds and tube wells.

Agriculture Minister has suspended Sindh Pesticide Committee for monitoring agriculture pesticides on its poor performance.
