PESHAWAR: Police on Saturday arrested as many as 565 suspected persons, including 70 illegal Afghan nationals, from different parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, the police conducted search operation in different areas and arrested more than 550 criminals. “Weapons were also recovered from them”, the police said. Meanwhile, security arrangements of 977 schools were also reviewed.
It is to be mentioned here that strict security measures are being taken across the province after Army Public School in Peshawar was attacked by Taliban last year on December 16. More than 140 people, mostly schoolchildren, were killed in that attack.
