Govt plans to kill me with chemical injection: Former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza
KARACHI: The police on Friday raided residence of Zulfiqar Mirza, former home minister Sindh, in Karachi .
Reports added that heavy contingent of police force surrounded Defence Phase-8 residence and a few officials entered the house to arrest Mirza. However, it is not yet clear whether firebrand PPP leader was at home at the time of raid.
Mirza is wanted by police in at least three cases but he is on interim bail these days.
Later, Estranged Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Dr Zulfiqar Mirza said that the government has made a plan to kill him with a chemical injection on Friday.
Speaking to media outside his Karachi residence, firebrand Mirza said that he is alive because of the courts. He further said that he is son of a judge and he has always stood with the justice.
Mirza claimed that he got the murderers of journalist Wali Khan Babar arrested during his tenure.
He also criticized police raid at his residence and arrest of his two servants.
