ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar on Monday has alleged that Dr Asim of backing fake medical colleges and provision of bogus degrees.
While talking to media persons, Saira Tarar vowed for extended cooperation with law enforcers who are investigating Asim for alleged fraud. She said that the alleged culprit has also been removed from presidency of Nursing Council, she added.
Sira Tarar further added that cases would be forwarded to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding alleged embezzlement in Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) management.
Tarar said that Dr Shaista is not legal registrar but Dr Nadeem Akbar is. The state minister vowed to get PMDC Ordinance approved by the Parliament. It is a mere coincidence that the Ordinance came to light when Dr Asim was arrested, she added.
