PM Nawaz submits asset details to ECP

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has submitted his asset details to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday.
According to ECP, 275 out of 1174 members of Senate, NA and PAs have submitted their asset details so far.
The ECP said that total details of the assets received are 275 in which 42 are from Senate, 93 National Assembly, 51 Punjab Assembly, 51 Sindh Assembly, 28 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and 10 are from Balochistan Assembly.
All members of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Paktunkhwa and Balochistan are required to submit yearly statements of assets and liabilities of their own, their spouses and dependents in the Election Commission Secretariat by September 30, 2014.
The prescribed forms are available, free of cost, from the Election Commission Secretariat, Islamabad and offices of Provincial Election Commissioners in each Province.
Forms are also being sent to the Senate Secretariat, National Assembly Secretariat and Secretariats of all the four provincial assemblies for facility of the lawmakers.

Whhile in New York Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while talking to Pakistani community in New York on Thursday said that all political forces are united for the supremacy of the constitution in the country.
Nawaz Sharif said that during 2013 general elections he was not holding any post. He said that the general elections were held under caretaker prime minister and chief ministers appointed by the Pakistan People’s Party.
PM Nawaz further said that Dharna (Sit-in) politics has miserably failed and the participants of Dharnas now wanted to go home. He said that government is fully functional despite the ongoing dharnas in Islamabad by PTI and PAT.
The Prime Minister lauded the efforts and courage of Pakistan army in fight against terrorism in the country.
