ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday presided over a high-level meeting at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad to review security situation in the country.
According to details, the meeting was attended by Minister for Defence, Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, DG ISPR Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, DG MO Major General Aamir Riaz, DG MI Major General Nadeem Zaki and others.
The meeting reviewed overall security situation of the country, with particular reference to Friday’s terrorist attack on Badaber PAF camp in Peshawar and sharing of evidences with Afghanistan in this regard. Pakistan maintains that the attackers came from Afghanistan and the attack was planned and coordinated from the neighboring country. Implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorists was also discussed in the high-level meeting, sources said.
