PM Modi telephones PM Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi telephoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday and, among other matters to discuss, wished him well for the upcoming match between the two countries’ cricketing teams.

According to tweets sent out from Modi’s account, the Indian PM informed Sharif that his new foreign secretary would soon visit the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries and hopefully the visit would include Pakistan as well. He added that cricket connected people in their region and promoted goodwill.
