PM inaugurates Kandhkot Gas Field’s reserves on Saturday

KARACHI: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Saturday inaugurated Kandhkot Gas Field’s reserves total about 250 MMscfd by the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) a major operators in Pakistan for exploring oil and gas.

The premier has said that PPL management has achieved a great success while federal government never interfered in the matters of PPL adding over 100 MMcf gas reserves have been found during the PML-N’s government, which would be utilized for welfare of communities said prime minister.

He said the PML-N has not made any false promises while ruling government is completing its promises which were made with people of Pakistan.

However, there was no major announcement made for welfare of the people of Sindh procince at Kandhkot, while PPL KGF management gave briefing to Prime Minister that the organization has been exploring reserves at Kandhkot for 25 years and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is one of the major operators in Pakistan for exploring oil and gas reserves has reached upto 250 MMscfd.

While, Kandhkot Gas Field’s neibhours and various parts of proince are neglected of various CSR activities of health eduation and others. It is mentioned here that there is no facility has been given to people of area even villagers of village Khan Muhammad Bhangwar and others told that that they have been deprived from gas facility and other social welfare services and other basic amenities.

Kandhkot Gas Field’s reserves situated on the right bank of Indus River and it was commissioning in the field to maximize production after 1990 according to increase of the demands. It has increased production efforts from mature fields, including Sui, Kandhkot and others by net production crossed over 1 Bcfe/day in November 2016.

Earlier, in Shahro Feroze district during his one day visit, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will benefit the country for the next 50 years and help strengthen its economy in the long term.

He claimed that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is the only leader who has kept the country united and PML-N is single party which has proved itself.
