PESHAWAR: Two people sustained bullet wounds as a PIA flight came under fire as it approached for landing at the Peshawar Airport on late Tuesday night.
A spokesman for the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) confirmed that two people, a female passenger and a steward were injured.
The spokesman said that the Peshawar-bound PIA flight PK-756 (Airbus A310), with 178 passengers on aboard, was landing at the airport when the incident happened.
The injured were moved to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.
It was later confirmed by hospital sources that the female passenger had expired while the airlines steward was being treated at the hospital.
