Pakistani student assaulted at Indian university

TAMIL NADU: A Pakistani student was attacked by three unidentified persons at a university in India.

According to reports in the India media, Ali Raza Hasan a 24-year-old student from Pakistan was assaulted in Pondicherry University campus on Tuesday.

The Pakistani student had been staying at the Sir C.V. Raman Hostel in the university after completing his graduation course on South Asian studies.

Speaking to Geo News, Ali Raza Hasan said he was assaulted on the night of May 13 by three men. He said the attackers entered the hostel and assaulted him. Hassan added that he had returned to the hostel after receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police said they have quizzed co-students and security personnel in connection with the assault.
