Pakistani players rush out of hotel rooms as jolt Dhaka

DHAKA: Players of Pakistan cricket team on Saturday rushed out of the hotel after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka.

Talking to Samaa, Shahid Aslam, a team official said the players are safe. They were about to leave the hotel for practice session when the earthquake struck, he said.
After the tremors, players gathered in the hotel lobby and recited Kalma.

The earthquake was also felt across large areas of Bangladesh, triggering panic in the capital Dhaka as people rushed out onto the streets.
