ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has refused to accept foreign aid for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan. Spokesperson of the foreign office, Tasnim Aslam said that the operation is Pakistan’s internal issue and the IDPs are our own responsibility, adding that the government will utilize all resources for their rehabilitation.
During a weekly briefing on Thursday, FO spokesperson stated that North Waziristan operation was Pakistan s internal matter. Prime Minister has clearly advised not to make any appeal for foreign aid as IDPs are our own responsibility and we shall fulfill them on our own.
Commenting on the drone attack that occurred on Thursday morning, she said, “We have reviewed the media reports regarding Miranshah drone attack, the confirmation of the drone attack is however awaited.” She further added, “Pakistan has been vocal on the drone attacks issue at every platform and these attacks are completely unacceptable.”
Officials while condemning the hostility of Israel on Palestine had emphasized the international community to stop Israel from the blatant genocide of Palestinians.
Spokesperson said that the Pak-India premiers had advised their respective foreign secretaries to meet soon in order to carry forward bilateral agenda, when both the PMs had met in New Delhi earlier on May 27. PM Nawaz Sharif visited India to participate in Indian PM’s oath taking ceremony.
