KARACHI: Provincial Health Minister, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has directed the Secretary Health to issue explanation letters to heads of malaria and dengue programme, Dr Naheed Jamali and Dr Shakeel Malik respectively over their unsatisfactory performance.
This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Wednesday, said a statement. Secretary Health Dr Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo also attended the meeting.
Dahar added the heads of these programmes had failed to create awareness at mass level and showed apathy towards their working while it was the need of hour to create awareness regarding these deadly diseases among masses and to save common man from them.
The Health Minister Sindh asked medical superintendents of all government hospitals and concerned DHOs to ensure attendance of doctors and other paramedical staff and urged that ghost staff would not be tolerated in Sindh Health Department. He directed all the concerned officers to improve efficiency of
the department.
