No evidence of Daesh involvement in Karachi bus attack: Sources

ISLAMABAD: Investigators probing the Karachi bus attack have found no evidence connecting the militant group ‘Daesh’ with the Karachi bus attack, sources revealed to Geo News on Saturday.

According to sources, there was no connection established between the pamphlets left at the attack site with Daesh. There has also been no connection established between the attack and arrests made.

More than 40 people were killed when gunmen attacked a bus belonging to the Ismaili community in Karachi on Wednesday.

Sources further said it is expected that investigators will evaluate evidence regarding the connection of Indian spy agency ‘RAW’ in the attack.

There was no intelligence report present of such an attack, sources added.

Earlier on Saturday sources privy to Geo News had revealed that two operatives of a banned organisation were arrested by intelligence agencies in connection with the attack.
