Neither PM will resign nor dissolve assembly, meeting decides

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz will neither tender resignation nor dissolve the assembly,  media reports said Tuesday.

Media reports following meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said an informal meeting of PML-N was held here which was presided over by the head of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif.  It was decided in the meeting that Prime Minister will not tender resignation and also not dissolve the assembly. It further said that incumbent government will complete its tenure.

The meeting participants lashed out at the JIT reports said the report was based on assumptions and prejudice. It said minus Nawaz formula was unacceptable. It further vowed to defy the political opponents on each forum.

The meeting also decided that Khawaja Haris and other legal teams will defend PM and his family. The legal team will present its stance of rejecting JIT report on July 17.
