LARKANA: The meeting of employees National Commission for Human Development ( NCHD) Larkana was held under the chair of District General Manger NCHD Larkana Ayaz Shaikh regarding issue of employees here on Monday.
The meeting apprised that previous government had issued directives to regularize the 2900 contracted employees who had been performing their services for past 10 years, but owing to vested interests few officers who were on key posts among DG NCHD Khosro Pervaiz who is drawing the salary Rs 550000, don’t want to reduce his salary Rs 70000 by regularization, adding that 8 other Directors are big hurdles for regularizing services of 2900 employees throughout country and do not want to implement on government ordinance.
He further informed that 20 employees among District Program Manager Nawabshah Munir Soomro, GM Kamber Iqbal Shaikh, Ayaz have filed the constitutional petition with Sindh High Court Sukkur bench against the non implementation on directives of Federal government, fake orders and against non provision of 11 months salaries, the honor court has issued the notices to 16 respondents among secretary Establishment,
Secretary Finance, Ministry of Education, Training and Standard in Higher Education, Director General NCHD and members of three provinces to be appeared before the court in person on 13 August 2014.
NCHD employees’ action committee expressed hope that court will provide the relief to poor employees.
Launching ceremony of Dr Siyal’s books held in Larkana

LARKANA: The launching ceremony of two Books “ Waqiati Shaeri 2013 (eventual poetry) and Lok Zenjeer “ written by Dr Aurangzeb Siyal was held at Officer Club on Sunday night by Sachal Adabi Markaz Larkana, a large number of intellectuals, Poets, writers and people belonging from literary field participated in program.
Speakers among renowned Poet Bashir Ahmed Shaad, Professor Mukhtiar Samu, Ahsan Danish, Riazat Buriro, Fayaz Latif, Dr Sikandar Shaikh, Dr Abdul Fatah Bughio, Dr Zafar Pirzado, Sikandar Abbasi and others addressed on the occasion.
They said that poetry is art gallery of human emotions and feelings, a Poet also represents the society and his area by poetry, while praising the poetical services of Dr Aurangzeb Siyal they said that he is distinguished poet and writer above all a man of sensitive nature. Gardner protests for removal of occupation on irrigation parks and land

LARKANA: The Gardner (Malhi) of Rice Canal Ghar Sub Division Larkana continued his protest and token hunger strike in front of Larkana Press Club for removal occupation on the irrigation Parks and other properties by influential land grabbers here on Monday.
Imdad Ali Jagirani who is Malhi at Ghar Sub Division Irrigation Department Larkana was holding the banners and placards inscribed with slogans demanding the action and arrest of involved accused behind the occupation on hundreds acre government land and other properties by land mafia.
Talking to media protesting Malhi apprised that land grabbers collusion with concerned irrigation officials have occupied both sides of Rice Canal, Ghar Wah and Aabro Minor banks and sold hundreds acres government land illegally by allegedly making fake documents and tempering the record.
He said that during the British rule beautiful parks were established on 1929 at Rice Canal regulator, Ghar Wah and Aabro Minor for the facilitation of public but due to inefficiency and slackness, beautiful parks turned into ruins, no maintenance work was carried to save the historical parks which are assets of Larkana.
Protesting Malhi said he will file the case with Sindh High Court against the occupation on Irrigation properties and parks, several times he has written letters and complaints about the activities of land mafia but received no positive response.
He demanded of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MNA Faryal Talpur and provincial Minister for Irrigation to take notice of matter , remove occupation on irrigation lands and save its properties, otherwise he will continue his struggle till the removal of occupation.
