KARACHI: National Commission for Child Welfare and Development (NCCWD) Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights in collaboration with the SAARC Development Fund (SDF) organizing one day training Workshop on Ending Violence against Children for Media Professionals here at local hotel on Thursday.
The media participants and experts will discuss harmful consequences of violence against Children and also emphasis on the role of media in reporting cases of violence against children disclosed Muhammad Ali Shan CP/AO/DDO, NCCWD in Ministry of Law, Justice & Human Rights.
Pakistan has ratified United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1990 and thus obliged to implement its provisions and report progress to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, Geneva.
Article 19 of the UNCRC also urges the Government of Pakistan to take all appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to protect the children from all forms of violence.
