WASHINGTON: NASA has launched its official account on social media that will give users a “regular dose of space” in a blog-like format through text, photos, videos and more.
The inaugural post showcases the incredible image of the ‘dark side’ of the Moon with Earth in the background, Science Daily reported.
The NASA Tumblr profile will share information, images and video about the agency’s missions of exploration and discovery, the US space agency said in a statement.
The main account will share images and video of NASA’s work while two of the other new pages will focus on specific missions.
Another page will follow astronaut Peggy Wilson as she trains for a six-month mission on the International Space Station (ISS).
People are able to discover, share and create content that expresses their personality, hobbies and interests.
NASA recently went on photo-sharing website Instagram to release first photos from the historic Pluto fly-by of its New Horizons spacecraft.
