QUETTA/JAMSHORO: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday arrested former deputy commissioner Sohail Adeeb Bachani and circle officer Anti-Corruption Department Niaz Hussain Chachar.
According to the spokesman NAB Sindh, both were arrested over charges of involvement in corruption of Rs100 million in Right Bank Outfall Drain (RBOD) project.
He said Sohail Adeeb Bachani is presently serving as Additional Secretary.
While in Quetta National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan has arrested X-EN, SDO of Irrigation Department and Cashier of DC office Khuzdar on corruption charges, Thursday.
As per details, the investigation of the NAB, X-EN Irshad Ali Jamali and SDO Mohammad Salar of Irrigation department allegedly gave benefit to the contract of their choice in a “Rehabilitation of Drainage System” project launched in the flood affected areas of Naseerabad district.
They caused over Rs 20 million loss to the national exchequer. In another case of accumulation of assets beyond the known source, NAB apprehended Mohammad Musa, cashier of Deputy Commissioner Office Khuzdar.
Further investigation was in progress.
