ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Monday has made it clear that Karachi Operation will continue with its pace.
According to details, MQM members delegation led by Farooq Sattar have met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad, which was also attended by Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Pervez Rasheed, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Akram Durrani.
MQM members informed Prime Minister regarding their reservations over Karachi operation and told PM that Karachi operation was being carried out against MQM only.
The delegation appealed PM to remove their reservations. “MQM will be the main beneficiary of the targeted operation,” Prime Minister Sharif said.
The government has decided to launch operations against all kinds of armed groups as well as sectarian violence,” he said, adding that there was no room for sectarian groups in Pakistan.
PM Nawaz asked MQM to cooperate for the arrest of 187 criminals marked in the list has presented. PM Nawaz said that Monitoring Committee to be formed for Karachi Operation after consulting CM Sindh to remove MQM reservations.
PM Nawaz further said that Karachi Operation had been started with full commitment and achieved several successes, adding that operation will be started against sectarianism with same commitment.
