ISLAMABAD: The government has finally succeeded in convincing disgruntled Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) to withdraw its resignations from assemblies.
According the details, the announcement to this effect was made during a joint press conference by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and MQM leader Farooq Sattar.
Dar announced formation of grievances redressal committee to address concerns of the MQM. Farooq Sattar said that we believe in politics of reconciliation.
We are thankful to the government for demonstrating political maturity, he said.
Speaking on this occasion, Ishaq Dar said that a committee was constituted to address the grievances of the MQM.
Earlier, both the leader met in Islamabad to discuss the lingering issue of resignations.
