HYDERABAD: South Asia Partnership Pakistan and Norwegian Church Aid Visited District Nawabshah and Mirpurkhas on 24 to 25 February 2014 for analyzing the issues of Violence against women inducing forced marriages, early marriage and forced conversion among religious minorities. The visit was conducted by Rabia Waqar–NCA, Shahnaz Sheedi –SAP-PK and Irshad Junejo –SAP-PK.
The visit facilitated by the local RDPs Organization of SAP-PK including VCDO Mirpurkhas and SSSF Nawabshah and conducted the community meeting, CSOs Meetings and focus Group Discussion. The different issues of forced marriage and marriage in the Name of Bhagwan were found out during the visit. There is the miserable condition of communities, especially religious minorities, which are facing lot of problems and high discrimination on the basis of religious discrimination.
MASTERMIND TERRORIST OF SHIKARPUR DISASTER ARRESTED
SHIKARPUR: Two master mind terrorists involved in the recent incident of suicide bombing attack on Jamia Masjid of central Imambargah Karbla Moula Shikarpur occurred on 30 of January 2015 were arrested by Shikarpur police, CID Sindh and other Federal Law and enforcement Agency Jointly on Thursday late night.
Those arrested were identified as Ghulam Rasool Brohi resident of Haji Khuwasti Brohi and Khalil Ahmed Zahri Aka Asghar Aka Sikandar Brohi of Dera Murad Jamali Baluchistan. Who were belonging to banned organizations Jesh-e-Islam and Lashikar-i-Jhangvi. While the other accomplice named Ali Sher Brohi made his escape good during the raid.
SSP Shikarpur Saqib Ismail Memon addressing the press conference held at SSP House here at 9:30 PM on Friday night informed the media men that during the interrogation the name of the suicide bomber who committed suicide attack on central Imambargah Masjid Shikarpur was known as Muhammad Ilyas Brohi of 18 to 20 years old the resident of Quetta Baluchistan.
While the suicide bomber who was involved Shikarpur carnage was reached at Shikarpur through one Muhammad Rahim the activist of Jesh-e-Islam from Quetta to commit the suicide attack on Imambargah.
The police have recovered one pressure cooker, Ten Detonators, one bomb making dairy, 3.5 KG Ball Barring, 500 GM Mercury, Digital Display, Battery of 6 welts, one Digital canto, Battery Charger, Detonator wires 8 meters, 06 prepared Devices, 100 Kg Urea, 05 Kg explosive substance, 02 Mobile seats, one Battery 12 welts, 3.5 city coin sticks, wolt meter, 58 empty detonators, one stolen Alto Car and one motorbike.
Besides, the other material and equipments of the bomb making factory were also recovered from the possession of the arrested terrorists. While one Bashir Khurani belonging to Jesh-e-Islam was supervising the bomb making factory which was running in the house of absconding Ali Sher Brohi, told SSP Shikarpur.
Whereas the arrested terrorists have also confessed that they were involved in the murder case of Shia Alim Allama Shafiqat Mutahari who was murdered by them on Indus highway road near Khanpur some four months ago, SSP Said.
MINOR CHILD INJURED IN ROAD ACCIDENT.
SHIKARPUR: A speedy van hit a minor child who got serious injuries at Indus highway near village Baqar Shah within the jurisdiction of Garhi Yaseen police station here on Friday evening.
According to reports a minor child identified as Nadir Ali of 08, son of Raham Fakir Marfani who stood at Indus highway near his village when speedy van hit him.
As a result of accident minor child received serious injuries.
Van driver escaped away from the place of incident.
Injured child shifted to local hospital for medical treatment after given first aid who shifted to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for further treatment.
Raham Fakir the father of injured child told to media persons my child was stood at Indus highway out side of village when ill-fated incident occurred.
He demanded to higher authorities to give him financial assistance for medical treatment because I am very poor person.
Source said injured child is out of danger.

SHIKARPUR: Over all nation is unite to eliminate terrorism in Pakistan this was stated of Assistant General Secretary Jamait-i-Islami Sindh Abdul Hafeez Bijarani addressing to activists of Jamait-i-Islami at Furqania Hall here on Friday after Juma prayer.
On the occasion he further said that but false propaganda of Madaris is condemnable he said and added that government’s first priority should be peace and tranquility but government have failed into it.

On the occasion, office bearers of PPP Youth Wing District Badin recorded their protest & apprehensions of neglecting them by PPP local leadership elected Assembly members.
They also demanded restoration of people Youth Wing district president, Khan Sahib Jamali who was suspended without any reason a couple of months earlier.

LARKANA: The Commissioner Larkana division Dr Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo chaired the high level meeting with officials of 5 district Larkana, Kamber Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Kandhkot Kashmore and Jacobabad in connection with implementing National Action Plan (NAP) to deal with emergency situation and taking preventive measures to thwart any untoward incidents here at his office on Friday.
The meeting discussed on 20 agenda points, to chalk out future strategy to deal with prevailing situation, Commissioner Larkana following security threats in country making the concerned local departments alerts to find preventative steps to avoid such incidents happened in Shikarpur and Peshawar carnage.
Meeting also pondered over to impede illegal use of laud speakers, wall chalking, illegal Afghan emigrants, meeting strictly decided to provide the fool proof security to all religious places and schools.
The Commissioner Larkana Dr Saeed Ahmed Magnejo directed the law enforcement agencies to keep vigilant eye on presence of banned outfits in Larkana division and ensured that they were not operating their activities with other names if found then, stern action be taken against them added that all political and religious gatherings should be ensured with prior permission of concerned authorities, misuse of loud speaker will be dealt with legal action, he said.
DIG Larkana Sain Rakhio Mirani told media men that Police have arrested 21 Afghani emigrants living illegal in Larkana division and put them behind the bar besides he said that Police have registered 10 cases under laud speaker act.
He apprised that survey is being carried out to collect the data about the unregistered religious seminaries, its classification, seeking information about their funds, utilization, audit and accountability before bringing them in legal fold.
DIG said that for security surveillance, provincial government will install the close circuit cameras in Larkana, Shikarpur and Jacobabd to monitor the law and order situation activities, added that Sindh government has approved Rs 30 millions for installation of CCTV cameras in Larkana
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, SSPs and DSPs of Larkana division, officers of Rangers, Health department and others.
