Minister Energy to inaugurate 7th PowerGen & Energy Forum 2014 on May 22

7th Power Gen & Energy Forum 2014 will be held on May 22, 2014 with a theme “Energy that makes Pakistan powerful” at a local hotel at Karachi.

Naeem Qureshi, Chairman Organizing Committee of Power Gen & Energy Forum said that the conference will provide knowledge & awareness, networking and Research & Development opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through coal, nuclear hydro, renewable, thermal and allied industries.

ENERGY UPDATE is organizing the event which will offer an interactive conference; enabling local and international energy experts, regulators, power producers, academia to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilized worldwide especially in Asia Pacific Region, he added.

PowerGen & Energy Forum 2014 is supported by Ministry of Energy Sindh, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, NED University, Institute of Research Promotion (IRP), Hamdard University, Dawood Engineering University and Nazir Hussain University.

Minister Energy & Finance Sindh Murad Ali Shah will be the chief guest on the occasion. Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Dr. Ansar Pervaz will be the keynote speaker. Khan, Vice Chancellor, Nazir Hussain University, Dr. Faizullah Abbasi, Vice Chancellor, Dawood University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Mr. Ejaz Ahmed, Managing Director, Thar Coal Energy Board, Syed Tanveer Hassan, Fauji Fertilizer Company, Tanveer A. An expo will also be held on innovative energy solution project from engineering colleges and universities will be displayed on the occasion. Students from the finest engineering universities in the country will be submitting their projects on renewable energy to compete for the Young Energy Leaders’ Award.
