LAHORE: Airport Security Forces (ASF) apprehended a suspected individual from a Muscat-Lahore flight of a private airline as soon as it arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday, ensuring safe landing of the 300 passengers.
The suspected individual declared himself to be a terrorist while on board the flight, after which the passengers informed the pilot, who then passed along the information to authorities at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The authorities at the airport immediately declared red alert and ASF commandos were put in position. Meanwhile all other flights scheduled to land at the airport were halted as a precautionary measure.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Sadullah, a resident of Lahore .
