ISLAMABAD: Lt-Gen (retd.) Muhammad Alam Khattak was appointed as new Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Sunday.
According to the details, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has signed a summary, approving the appointment of Khattak as new governor.
Khattak will resign from the post of Defence Secretary after his appointment as the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khattak has replaced veteran PML-N leader Sardar Mehtab Abbas who resigned earlier this week citing health reasons.
