MULTAN: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan was dealing with disastrous floods while the leaders of sit-ins were dancing.
Addressing flood affectees, Shahbaz Sharif said people of Punjab would not forgive Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for this crime.
The chief minister added that it was Imran’s responsibility to call off the sit-in and help those affected by the floods after people of Punjab had given him so many seats. “The people will never forgive you.”
Shahbaz Sharif was also critical of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri saying he was from Canada and not concerned about the people of Pakistan.
The chief minister said all those affected by the floods would receive the first installment of compensation before Eid.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch also appealed for the sit-ins to be called off during this difficult time.
