KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Friday started cleaning of nullahs on urgent basis ahead of expected monsoon rains.
The cleaning is launched on directives of Administrator KMC, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqi, by the Municipal Services Department, said a statement issued here.
The cleaning of nullahs in Manzoor Coloney, PIDC area and Orangi is being performed with the help of machines.
Shoaib Siddiqi has said the he will pay surprise visit to review the ongoing cleaning of nullahs and action will be taken against negligence officials.
