Karachi overnight firing, violence incidents leave 5 dead, while 4 accused killed in encounters

KARACHI: The death toll in the overnight firing and violence incidents rose to 5 in different parts of the city here.

Police said that one body was found near Jumashah Mazar in Quaidabad area here, while a man was gunned down at Memon Goth, Malir.

Adil, 21 with bullet wound in his neck lost his life, while resisting the robbers who had barged into his house at Pahalwan Goth, Chistian Nagar, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

A man died in firing on a medical store by some unknown gunmen in Gulbahar area, while firing in Ilyas Goth, Korangi claimed one dead.

While, four accused were killed in two separate alleged encounters in Karachi on late Saturday night.

Police said two gang war accused, involved in more than 20 cases, were killed during search operation jointly launched by Rangers and police — in Khadda Lane in Baghadi area of Lyari.

Police recovered arms from the custody of accused identified as Dawood Memon and Asim Dada.

In a separate alleged police action in Boat Basin area of Clifton, two target killers were killed. The accused were involved in target killing, kidnapping for ransom and extortion.
