KARACHI: Dr Zulfiqar Mirza will appear before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday.
Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s protective bail ends today as a result of which he will appear before the court for hearing.
According to details, the routes going to ATC have been closed whereas additional police contingent, police mobiles and armored vehicles have been deployed in the surrounding areas.
Besides this, media has been banned to enter ATC and Sindh High Court (SHC).
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Zahid Hussain has said that journalists are refrained from entering the court as per the court orders.
SHC has also transferred cases against Mirza, registered under terrorism act, from Badin to Karachi.
Earlier, Former Sindh Home Minister Zulifqar Mirza and Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Abdul Qadir Samoo exchanged harsh words after police officials attempted to nab close companion of Zulfiqar Mirza.
As per details, enraged Mirza stormed the Badin police station and broke the table glass and mobile phone of security officer as arguments turned violent.
The officers said that Mirza has threatened them with indecent language whereas he further stated that the administration would be responsible if any of his companions or supporters were harmed.
