Kaira says PPP undecided on supporting PTI

ISLAMABAD: Informing his party’s indecisiveness on its support to Imran Khan’s anti-government move, The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira Wednesday said that his party would decide after consultation if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) formally invited them to participate in 14th August march.

Kaira criticized the incumbent government for announcing Pakistan Day celebrations on the same venue where PTI is holding 14th August march, saying that it shows confrontational thinking of the government.

PTI leader said if the government used power on 14th August, they would stop it along with all other powers. “Would that the ruling party let the parliament complete its tenure”, he said.

Commenting on former president Asif Ali Zardari’s statement, Kaira said PPP did not support Imran Khan, adding being a politician Zardari presented a political solution to the situation.
