LARKANA: A large number of employees under the banners of Sindh Highways Employees Union Official Wing, CBA Sindh (SHEUOW) Larkana took out the jubilation rally in favor of MPA Sohail Anwar Siyal on receiving folio of Sindh Home Minister here on Friday.
The jubilant rally was led by central President Zahid Hussain Soomro, General Secretary Mir Assad Hussain Mirjat and others, the rally started from circuit house Larkana which marching through various roads dispersed at Jinah Bagh chok, participants of rally were carrying the portraits of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and new home Minister Sindh Sohail Anwar Siyal.and shouted slogans of jeay Bhutto.
Speaking on the occasion leaders said that Sohail Anwar Siyal is bold soldier of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto who devoted himself to follow the vision of his party leadership and serve the masses.
They congratulated to people of Sindh and Larkana on tremendous achievement of Mr Siyal and termed his appointment as home minister a victory of poor people.
Later participants of rally distributed the sweets among the people, resorted areal firings and congratulated each other.
Over 10,000 registered NGOs in Sindh, but all issues still on.
LARKANA: There are over 10,000 registered NGOs in Sindh among 5 percent only active to perform in the different social activities.
Secretary Social Welfare Department Sindh Shah Rukh while in press conference here at Larkana Press Club, he expressed that Social Welfare Department has taken a task to provide skill development trainings to deprived sections of the society among Eunuchs, She-male, Transgender and Beggars at different areas in the beautician course, stitching, computers and others.
The vocational courses will be initiated to increase their skills so that they could earn their livelihood with honor and dignity the Secretary said.
Secretary Social Welfare Department further told that department is going to establish Child protection unit, Senior Citizen houses and three more Darul Amaan with cost of Rs 160 millions in Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas and Jacobabad to facilitate the public.
To a question about the ill-response and negative behavior of Darul Ammaan Incharge as well communication gap between administration and Media, he assured that Darul Ammaan is a judicial custody and sub jail as well, however prepared new SOPs to engage 3 NGOs among Rosen, Shirkat gah and IRC which had been collaboratively working for betterment and positive developments he told.
Additional Secretary Population Welfare Department Sindh Abdul Aleem Lashari, while speaking on the occasion, said that his department has taken milestone initiative to facilitate 5000 Eunuchs (Khuwaja Saras) in Sindh by providing them trainings and capacity building courses in order to enhance their living standard and creating employment opportunities for them.
He said that She-male, Transgender, Eunuchs and Baggers are part of society and right to languish their life in respectful manner and get rid of dancing and bagging and other hardships.
Mr Lashari informed that there are several jobs including 17 grades in Social Welfare Department which would be filled very soon and it will meet shortage of employees.
Replying question about three missing women who escaped from Darul Amman Larkana few months back, Abdul Aleem Lashari said that it is responsibility on Police to investigate the incident and recover the missing inmates.
AUTO RICKSHAW DRIVER DIES
SHIKARPUR: A speedy auto rickshaw overturned at Dakhan-Chatto Mangi link road in the limits of Dakhan Police Station some 40 kilometers from here on Thursday noon.
According to reports an auto rickshaw driver identified as Ranjhan Sangro was died on the spot while one passenger Imran Junejo sustained severe injuries.
Area Police Official (APOs) rushed on the spot and body of deceased handed over to his heirs after conducting post-mortem examination from Rual Health Centre (RHC) Dakhan while injured person admitted to the RHC. FIR was not registered till this news was flashed.
COURT ORDERED TO REGISTER FIR AGAINST SHO
SHIKARPUR: It is well known that by every person that the police were adopting the criminal attitude towards the people aimed at meeting their ulterior motives instead of realizing their proper responsibilities to provide legal protection of life, honour and property to the people. But due to recent serious action taking by Sindh government particularly against the terrorists and the criminal elements in order to ensure peace and tranquility in the areas, the people took the sigh of relief on this hope that the police have changed their attitude to discharge their proper duties to control over the anti social evils in the interests of the people.
Inspite of that the police have started again the same action to meet their ulterior motives after some interval.
The SHO of Police Station Garhi Yaseen while taking the charge of his office he misused his powers to create fear and maltreatment to the citizens like as terrorists in order to avail the chance of accepting the illegal gratifications.
The citizens, trade and business communities have planned to launch the protest campaign against the excesses of the SHO of Garhi Yaseen Imtiaz Khuhawar after he maltreated, misbehaved and committed the illegal acts of beating the milk shopkeeper and deprived him and his some other persons of their cash and mobile phones. Besides the milk shopkeeper was also wrong fully detained at Police Station for two hours and then he was released by the SHO on the intervention of elders.
While the victim Sarfraz Ahmed Abbasi filed his complaint through Cr. Misc. Application No. 263 of 215 in court of Sessions Judge Shikarpur and Ex. Officio Justice of Peace with pray to order the SHO, Garhi Yaseen for registration his FIR against the SHO Garhi Yaseen.
From the contents of application it appears that a cognizable offence is committed by the proposed accused. The SHO Police Station concerned is duty bound to register complaint and investigate it as provide in law.
While disposing of the application under section 22-A(6) & B-Cr.P.C the application was allowed by Sessions Judge and the SHO concerned was directed to record the statement of the applicant under section 154 CRPC and if from contents their of any cognizable offence is made out same be incorporated into the book of 154 CRPC.
The SHO while avoiding to obey the order of the Sessions Judge did not registered the FIR as per order of the Sessions Judge and instead of registering FIR the SHO is bent upon to threaten the applicant to involve him in other false cases if the complainant would not withdrawn from his application.
