Professional Journalists knocks door of Justice for KPC memberships

KARACHI: A large number of journalists community of Karachi press club action committee held meeting to sort out KPC membership through legal process here at Khaliq Dina Hall on Sunday.

Professional and senior working journalists expressed dissatisfaction over the neglect of membership to senior journalists community by the KPC authorities and awarding non-professional favorite relatives only.

On the occasion, as many as hundreds of professional working journalists participated in the meeting and they alleged that Governing body of the press club has ill-treated senior media persons, which they will  be fight for their rights through legal battle and according to the constitution.

They said professional journalists’ will continue play their part to unity among all KPC media community and never loose any space or gape, despite of failure of Governing body of KPC, which they are failed to perform their duties honestly.

They also demanded the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) and other independent international bodies to immediately intervene the KPC governing body injustices and violence of the rights of senior professional media persons.

Journalists’ fraternity also demanded of the void of present list of new membership which is not according to the criteria and legal, so that senior journalists should be given membership and than other junior media persons of Karachi.

15 members KPC Action Committee of Journalists was also announced among Naeem Khan Zada (Express News), Zahid Fakhri (Jahaan Pakistan), Muhammad Irfan Sagar (Quami Akhbar), Nazir Hussain Siyal (The Nation), Fawad Hussain (The News Week), Ubaid Rehman (Ibtaq News), Sohni Paras (Dharti TV), Syed Hassan Raza (ARY News), Rao Jameel (First News), Irum Bano (Ibtaq News) and several others.
