GHOTKI: A Jirga was held to settle the murder case against former President PTI Sindh and former provincial minister Nadir Akmal Leghari on Sunday in Keenjhar town of Ghotki district.
According to reports, The Jirga was chaired by former MNA Mian Abdul Haq aka Mian Mitho and Sardar Awais Khan Leghari. Several influential of area including Sardar Jafar Khan Leghar, Sardar Arshad Khan Leghari, Mir Shahryar Khan Shar and other participated in the Jirga.
The Jirga ordered Leghari Community to pay a fine of Rs7,910,000 to Pitafi community, the details of fine were as, Rs5600000 were fined for murder of Shoib Pitafi because it was considered as equal to seven murders of a common man, Rs1400000 fined for starting firing on Sarang Pitafi, son of PPP MPA Sardar Ahmed Alia Khan Pitafi, Rs810,000 fined for the injured, and Rs100000 fined for fake cases lodged by Leghari community.
During the elections of 2008, Shoaib Pitaf nephew of PPP MPA Sardar Ahmed Ali Khan Leghari was killed at polling station Kauro Khan Leghari PS-7 Ghotki. Later, PPD MPA Sardar Ahmed Ali Pitafi lodged an FIR against Nadir Akmal Leghari, Mubashar leghari, Muhammad Ali Leghari and two others for murder of Shoaib Pitafi at Dad Leghari Police Station.
Reports said, Mr. Leghari remained away from his hometown Ghotki for 7 years and talks were initiated by Leghari and Pitafi community who decided Nadir Akmal Leghari will not to participate in the elections of 2013 and all Leghari community will vote to PPP MPA Ahmed Ali Pitafi, later Ahmed Ali Pitafi won the elections at PS-7 in 2013.
