LAHORE: Minister for Railways and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khawaja Saad Rafique Sunday said constitution of Judicial Commission is a prerogative of the Supreme Court and the government cannot dictate in this regard.
Speaking at a press conference here, Khawaja Saad Rafique said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan wants formation of JC while the government has already written a letter to the concerned authority on the matter.
“We will not run away from the demand for Judicial Commission,” he asserted.
Referring to PTI’s protest plan for Lahore on Monday, he said it is hoped that PTI activists will not resort to rioting and ransacking of property. “Do protest but don’t block roads,” he added.
He said Imran Khan should engage himself in positive politics, adding Khan is turning into a Bal Thackeray of Pakistan.
He said the time has come for Imran Khan’s ‘hypocritical politics’ to get exposed.
