Javed Hashmi accuses Lt Gen Pasha of campaigning against him

MULTAN: Veteran politician, Javed Hashmi Saturday accused Lt Gen (retd) Ahmed Shuja Pasha of campaigning against him from Lahore.

Talking to media representatives at his residence here, Hashmi said Lt Gen Pasha while talking to him on the phone had said that he was present in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mehmood’s house in Lahore.

“Upon this I asked him as to whether he (Lt Gen Pasha) was Nazim-e-Alla of our party,” Javed Hashmi said.

He said in Peshawar slogans seeking ouster of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak had been raised and the day was not far when the slogan of ‘Go Imran Go’ would be chanted.

He disclosed that not a single member belonging to the poor class was part of the PTI. “I had the least assets amongst party members,” Hashmi said.

Javed Hashmi added that Shah Mehmood Quereshi was no longer an MNA and he should tell the truth to people.

The senior politician also alleged that former DG ISI, Lt. General (retd) Shuja Pasha despite being retired was leading a campaign against him from Lahore.
