ISLAMABAD: The advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz on Tuesday said that the historic nuclear deal of Iran with major world powers is a good omen for Pakistan.
He said that the nuclear deal will help in the establishing of stability in the region. Sartaj said that the deal will also help to take the project of Pak-Iran gas pipeline forward.
Major powers and Iran struck a historic deal Tuesday aimed at ensuring Tehran does not acquire a nuclear bomb, in return for sanctions relief, a diplomat close to the talks said.
The breakthrough came on the 18th day of marathon talks between Tehran and the so-called P5+1 — the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany in Vienna.
The sources said that Pakistan is likely to start gas pipeline on Sept 20.
