SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their continued act of state terrorism martyred 17 Kashmiris including a child during the last month of July.
According to the data, killings rendered one woman widowed and 4 children orphaned. The troops subjected 3 people to custodial disappearance, Kashmir Media Service reported.
During the period, 227 people were injured when Indian troops and police personnel resorted to brute force on peaceful protesters while 440 persons including Hurriyet leaders and activists were arrested.
The troops also destroyed 5 residential houses and disgraced 11 women in the month.
