Imran threats govt off call to surround Jati Umrah

Will confront head on if Faisalabad episode repeated in Lahore: Imran Khan

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday has warned the government off giving out a call to all workers to surround Jati Umrah (Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s residence) and demonstrate a protest there if it does not change its strategy towards PTI.
Reportedly, Khan got angry with his party’s senior members at the airport asking, why only PTI workers always have to die for their cause?
What kind of democracy allows opening fire on innocent protestors? He asked.
Khan’s motorcade started moving towards former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah’s place after changing the plan of going to Ghanta Ghar Chowk.
The motorcade was also thrown stones at from the rooftop of a house while passing through Lakar Mandi.
Separately, while talking to the media at Bani Gala, Khan said that the government has recruited bullies.
He also said that it has made Pakistan a “police state” by using people like Gullu Butt for their personal gains.
However, PTI chairman announced a mourn-day tomorrow in connection with the murder of PTI worker, Haq Nawaz in Faisalabad and said that the PTI workers would offer last prayers of Nawaz in all over the country.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan Monday warned that in case what happened in Faisalabad was repeated in Lahore, his party activists would confront it head on.

“Those who see PTI crowd as a ‘burger crowd’ brace themselves,” Imran Khan cautioned while interacting with media representatives here.

He said the ‘Gullu Butts’ of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) prepared well in advance to subject PTI workers to torture. “An armed man resorted to firing while the police just looked on,” he said, adding he would himself go and get an FIR lodged.

Imran Khan labeled PML-N as a progeny of dictatorship, adding, staging a peaceful protest is everyone’s right.

He said he had already announced that roads would be blocked and in reaction Rana Sanaullah had remarked: “We would take care of it”.

He said obstructing a protest is an old habit of Sharif brothers and warned that PTI’s remaining peaceful must not be misconstrued as weakness to stand against the force.
