LAHORE: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar stated on Saturday stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should apologise to Maryam Nawaz over accusing her protocol for misbehaving with Khan’s sister Dr Uzma in Lahore.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Dar said that the PTI Chairman should apologise to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s daughter after facts regarding the entire incident have been brought to light.
Rejecting the allegations levelled by Imran Khan that Maryam Nawaz was involved in the incident, he said that PTI Chief is habitual of reacting to any situation without probing the matter.
Dar said Imran Khan is head of a political party, therefore he should adopt a responsible attitude. He said that Maryam Nawaz is daughter of the nation and any irresponsible statement about her is regrettable.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan refused from backing from his statement and held Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) responsible for the entire incident as it occurred in Lahore.
