Imran Khan doesn’t want formation of JC: Pervez Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid Monday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan not to mislead people, saying the latter does not want Judicial Commission (JC) formed.

Talking to newsmen here, Pervez Rashid said he would himself ask National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to tender resignation as an MNA if the word bogus had been mentioned in the tribunal’s findings relating to the audit of NA-122.

Rashid further said in case there are doubts in anyone’s mind then forensic examination of every ballot paper from Ayaz Sadiq’s constituency be carried out.

He said the PTI chief Imran Khan should have forensic analysis conducted of ballots from wherever he wished.

“Ballot boxes from Jahangir Tareen’s constituency were also examined and his total mandate also decreased by 400 votes following the recounting”, Rashid claimed.

He went on to say that all the 4 constituencies had been opened for audit even before PTI launched its protest sit-in in Islamabad.

Pervez Rashid said the Judicial Commission will be constituted (tomorrow) morning which will then decide whether or not the ballot papers were legal.

The Federal Minister further said that Imran Khan wanted to close down the country on December 16 and wondered as to why both terrorists and PTI chief felt inclined to choose the same date.
