PESHAWAR: An important militant commander and close-aide to Gul Bahadur has been shot dead in Afghanistan Khost province.
North Waziristan Taliban Shura member and important Taliban commander Asadullah alias Gagial was shot dead by unknown armed men in Shehr-e-Nao area of Khost province.
According to sources, three of his accomplices were also injured in the firing. Commander Asadullah, who was close aide to Taliban commander Gul Bahadur, was wanted to security forces in extortion and other heinous crimes.
Many Pakistani Taliban commanders and militants have been killed in similar attacks and US drone strikes in Khost province.
