KARACHI, Apr 22 (INP) Resident representative, Mr. Hanns Seidel Foundation Mr. Kristof W. Duwaerts Wednesday visited Sindh Madressatul Islam University Karachi. He had meeting with Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh Vice Chancellor of SMI University at his office. The HANNS SEIDEL foundation, Islamabad and SMI University in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on mutual cooperation agreed to cooperate in future on a mutual basis with in the project “ MODEL CCI: concept of strengthening Debating Federalism with the objective to ensure society’s understanding of the federal structure of Pakistan post 18th amendment.
The SMI University agreed to undertake the steps towards the implementation of the Model CCI. Hanns Seidel Foundation also agreed the limitations imposed by its budgetary constraints into account, to assume agreed responsibilities within agreed project.
SMIU and H.S.F also agreed to commit to cooperation pertaining to the promotion, development and implementation of federal and democratic structures in Pakistan in the form of agreed project, while both agreed to share information required for the project being undertaken in mutual collaboration.
