Govt unwilling to probe ‘election rigging’: Shireen Mazari

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Shireen Mazari on Monday claimed that the government was not interested to launch a probe into the alleged rigging of 2013 general elections.

Reacting to the press conference of Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Shireen Mazari said government had itself recommended the role of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) in the proposed commission to probe the alleged rigging of the polls.

She accused the government of playing a ‘political game’.

Shireen Mazari further said PTI was ready to resume talks with the government and that the party chief Imran Khan had already shown flexibility in his stance.
