Govt-PPP on same page over transparent politics

ISLAMABAD: A government delegation held a meeting with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders in the backdrop of efforts to do away with horse-trading and floor-crossing before the upcoming Senate elections.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, PPP leaders Raja Pervez Ashraf and Syed Khursheed Shah said their party and the government are on the same page as far as efforts to purge political space of horse-trading and floor crossing.

They said whatever measures are necessary to ensure transparent political environment must be adopted.

Prior to their meeting with PPP leaders, the government delegation first called on Mulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F).
