LARKANA: For a long non-functional Government of Sindh department Employment Exchange (Career Counseling Placement Centre) in-charge known as Aamil-Baba and quack providing spiritual treatment contrary to his assigned challenging job meant for assisting unemployed youth.
Currently, so called office in a quarter’s roof collapsed during recent downpours; Career Counseling Placement Center Larkana is non-functional under the supervision of Sindh Technical and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) established on 2010 at Government Commercial College Larkana city later shifted to 6 km away from Larkana city.
Unfortunately, it was established in an old residential quarter faraway, despite of facilitating Diploma holders, unemployed youth providing guidance and proper counseling by job opportunities. The department employees are irregular since long, but nothing to address the problems of poor unemployed youth, while solutions through Jin and other activities.
Assistant made In-charge and other staff allegedly absent from duties, educated youth with degrees wandering for employment opportunities. The in-charge mitigating the issues indulged in other activities by Kala-Jadoo and also known as Aamil Baba and quake.
Sources told that Assistant Manager Career Counseling Placement Center Larkana is known as Aamil Baba and Hakeem providing spiritual treatment to every coming youth contrary to his assigned challenging job.
While, talking to this scribe Assistant Manager Abdul Qayoom Soomro told that he took charge on May 23, 2014. According to him, he has so far provided 18 jobs to unemployed youth in different departments, when enquired the list of such candidates he could not show it.
He further told that office is far away from the city that’s why the candidates find difficulties to visit office, despite of that he has worked a lot but no movement in this regard.
When asked such a profession of quake/Hakeem and other spiritual treatment, he told that his work since the forefathers doing regularly and the people believe in it, take benefits he said.
On the occasion, the representatives of civil society has demanded of the government to take notice and ordered make functional the Career Counseling Placement Center inside the city and mitigate the problems of educated youth they demanded.
