Govt decides to take resignation from Senator Mushahidullah: Reports

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government on Saturday decided to take resignation from senior cabinet member and minister for climate change, Senator Mushahidullah Khan after his recent controversial statement.
In his recent interview with BBC, Senator Mushahidullah alleged that former Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt. Gen Zaheerul Islam wanted to overthrow Pakistan’s civil and military leadership during last year’s sit-ins by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
TV reports added that following criticism on the statement, the government has decided to take resignation from him.
Federal Information Minister, Pervaiz Rasheed confirmed that the Senator has been asked to return from Maldives.
