Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan in exercise of the powers under clause (a) of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 and other provisions enabling, has summoned the Provincial Assembly of Sindh to meet on Saturday, 13th June, 2015 at 11.30 a.m. at the Sindh Assembly Building, Karachi.

Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon has asked the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to visit the hospitals and schools, including all development project in their respective areas and point out if the building machinery and equipment are no-functional with or without any reason, thereof. He said this while presiding over the meeting of the Secretaries’ Committee on Wednesday in Sindh Secretariat Karachi. Siddique Memon also emphasized upon coordinated and systematic efforts to combat the flood/monsoon-2015, instructing that the departments of Home, Rehabilitation, Irrigation, Relief Commissioner, PDMA and other institutions including Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to ensure joint efforts by utilizing the available resource. Chief Secretary also asked the Finannce Department to financially support the task.
The meeting reviewed the Agenda Item viz issues of the employees of devolved departments, implementation of the Supreme Courts orders on OPS-based posting, Construction of Thar Airport at Mithi. Demand of Interns from all Provincial Departments, Recovery position of Government dues, ADP Schemes and return of vehicles used by the unauthorized officials.
Muhammad Siddique Memon also stressed the need of strengthening the offices of Deputy Commissioners to resolve the issues of all concerned in their jurisdiction.
The meeting decided that Planning & Development Department to bring-up policy documents regarding activation of non-functional projects, and use of building and machinery and equipment of the Development Projects.
The Chief Secretary seriously noticed on un-authorized use of over 600 official vehicles kept by the officers, when the circular for return of vehicles was communicated, but they did not yet return the vehicles although Honarable Chief Minister has also seriously viewed the matter. Chief Secretary categorically noted that the return of vehicles must be accorded, prior to issuance of show-cause notices, and disciplinary action to this effect.
The meeting also resolved that the promotion cases should also be brought-up in accordance with rules and regulation.
Earlier, a meeting to review the Polio Eradication Program, also held which was addressed by the Chief Secretary Sindh Muhammaad Siddique Memon, Provincial oversight Coordinator Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Coordinator Sindh Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar and Secretary Health Dr. Saeed Ahmed Mangnijo.
Moreover SMBR & Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has asked the Deputy Commissioner Karachi to actively coordinate and assist the Anti Polio Drive in their Districts. Chairman ACE Syed Zakir Hussain, Secretary I & C.S. Tariq Mahmood Jaffery, Secretary G.A. Sajid Jamal Abro, Secretary Services Jamal Mustafa Syed, and other Secretaries, Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners also attended the meeting.

Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Labour and Human Resources Asghar Ali Junejo has said that coming Sindh budget 2015-16 would be labour and people friendly adding that particularly the workers would be provided relief.
This he said while presiding over a meeting at his office with SESSI and Workers Welfare Board here on Wednesday.
He said the PPP founder Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed always raised voices for labour rights and gave Pakistan Steel Mill and Machine Tool factory as a gift.
He said that Sindh government will announce new low-priced housing schemes in its coming budget of Sindh 2015-16 and construct new housing projects for labors’.
He announced that the salary of a labour would also be increased in the coming budget.
He said that on the directives of Pakistan Peopls Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co chairman Asif Ali Zardari, under the supervision of Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah labour’s of Sindh will be benefited through different welfare schemes.

Sindh Minister for Information and local Government Sharjeel Inam Memon has warned that the people of Sindh was ready to come out on street for their rights if the federal government not provided the funds for the development projects and not stop the injustice regarding the gas and electricity supply to the province.
The Minister said this while addressing the gathering at chief minister’s house on Wednesday held for ground-breaking ceremony for K-4 water project to provide water to people of Karachi. The Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah was the chief guest of the program and this is the greater Karachi water supply scheme for which the federal government has to provide 50 percent of the expenditure.
However the Sindh Minister said that the federal government neither fulfilled the promises regarding providing the funds for the mega projects for Karachi and other parts of the province.
Sharjeel Memon said that the Punjab is not the only Pakistan and advised the federal government not consider the policy of reconciliation of the PPP as its weakness otherwise the people of Sindh was ready to come out on streets if injustice was continued.
He said federal government ignoring the Sindh, Balochistan and KPK while only Punjab is being considered as part of Pakistan this policy would damage the unity of the country.
He said the federal government did not provided the funds for green line bus project while it was promised in last year to provide. He said federal government snatched the share of Gas from Sindh and it was aclear violation of the constitution. He said according to constitution the major shareholder of the Gas is the province which producing the natural resources’ but Sindh is being neglected in providing its due share.
Sharjeel Memon said LNG is not the need of the Sindh but federal government forcing the province to bear the burden of the LNG. He said this is conspiracy against the Sindh so that the industries should shift other provinces. However he warned that people of Sindh did not want to disturb the democratic system but such injustices would force the Sindh to raise the voice for its rights.
He said Sindh is being faced 16 to 18 hours worst kind of loadshedding and warned that the Sindh would not tolerate more injustices. The Minister said that Chief Minister Sindh also raised the voice on every forum and fight for the right of the province.
Sharjeel said that people of Sindh is being victimised because it rejected the PML-N in 2013 election and elected the PPP to serve the province. He said Sindh can also lodge protest as like the Punjab was staged in the past but PPP believed in democracy and democratic process and did not want to destabilize the system.
He said Sindh did not want to replay as same as the Punjab was did in previous PPP government and burnt the wapda towers and installations. He said Sindh would not replay in that manner but people would not tolerate more injustice.
He as per constitution the federal government has to provide total fund for the K-4 water project but Sindh was forced to share 50 percent in this project while the Karachi is a mini Pakistan and people of all parts are living in this city. This is the responsibility of the federal government to provide funds for the basic infrastructure for this city.
However the minister said that Sindh government is very much willing to provide all facilities to the people and despite curtail of its development budget and reducing the share in divisible pool the Sindh government taking steps own its own to start the mega projects.
