KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on Saturday ruled out the existence of Islamic State terrorist group in Karachi.
Speaking to media persons here, Governor Ebad said the group has no organizational setup in Karachi.
“Existing banned terrorist outfits are trying to associate them with the Daesh,” he said, adding that IS was a new phenomena and had no organized presence in the Sindh provincial capital.
He further said that the nexus between various terror outfits were already busted in Karachi.
His remarks came hours after Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali also dismissed apprehensions about the large scale presence of Daesh in Pakistan
