KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, has directed the Provincial Minister for Local Bodies, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, to ensure the holding of the local bodies polls in the province in accordance with the directives of the Supreme Court.
He also called for undertaking effective steps for improvement in the local bodies’ works. Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, called on Dr.Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, at the Governor House here on Monday.
He briefed the Governor on matters pertaining to the holding of the local bodies polls as per the directives of the Supreme Court, performance of the local bodies institutions, and on-going development
works.
The Governor also said on the occasion that the local bodies institutions would have to be activated for the provision of relief to the people.
He said that cleanliness in the province especially in urban areas be ensured on daily basis.
